Basking In My Latest Bargain-- It's Bargain Madness, Not March Madness for Shop Bargainista

Hey hey barg babes, I feel like I haven’t blogged in forever. I don’t want to forget my first love (blogging) because that is where it all started for me almost 10 years ago and has since expanded into Shop Bargainista. I definitely need to start blogging more, at least every quarter. As for this blog, I think, well actually I know that it will be worth the wait because what I’m blogging about today, I’m so excited to spill the tea on & It’s piping hot!

I’ve literally spent the last few days basking in a bargain that I’m still trying to wrap my head around. March has been an incredible month here at Shop Bargainista (All the GLORY to GOD of course). God has led me to some really amazing bargains, but the only one that I’m giving the tea about today, its so amazing its on the not for sale list because it’s an unbelievable vintage piece that doesn’t come around often so I just can’t let go of it.

Let’s rewind and take a little trip down memory lane and have a little refresher on what Shop Bargainista is all about. Our owner Kristin, (yes, me… HI) handpicks each and every single bargain, whether that bargain is pre-loved or brand new. Shop Bargainista, LLC aims to provide you with the ultimate shopping experience, have your cart full of unbelievable deals and to of course have you curating an unforgettable look. So with that being said, lets get on with story time!

Let me give you some back story before we get into this bargain.

There is no one place in particular that I shop for bargains I literally go any and everywhere from vintage hideaways to TJ Maxx to Goodwill to yard sales to estate sales, bargains are everywhere which is why I search high and low for the best deals to offer you 24/7.

Soooooo, on Wednesday, I just so happened to be lying in bed scrolling online and I come across this vintage bag and for $80.00. The description read "LV bag was balled up in a tote for months good shape great for teenager." & I’m like hmmmmm, someone must not know what gem they have on their hands. So I study the listing which had very detailed photos and videos and I’m like this has to be a mistake, only $80.00?! However, one persons I just need to get rid of this is like treasure for me. I messaged the seller and ask if I could purchase and how soon we could meet. She quickly responded and we set the date for the very next day.

I was literally up tossing and turning all night, I kept waking up and doing research and assessing the photos over and over again because I was just obsessing over this to good to be true bargain. There’s always a 50/50 chance that something may not be authentic, but I’ve been into fashion so long, I can usually tell by eyeballing (& whether you do authentic or a look like an authentic it is totally up to you, no hate on your choice) . My gut (aka My mom’s spirit) I feel like was just telling me like this is a once in a lifetime deal and it’s what you think it is.

I can’t even begin to tell you how often I have these intense feelings about bargains, I know I know it sounds so strange, but when you’re so knee deep into your purpose and God leads and guides you so clearly through it, it actually feels pretty normal.

Let’s pause for a story within the story (I have so much to get out, it’s been to long). I remember I went to my favorite Goodwill this one time and when I walked in I smelled the strongest odor of this amazing smelling leather (I know it’s weird), but I knew it was an exceptional quality pair of shoes so I went on the prowl and walked down an isle and found them. A brand I had never heard of, so I did a little quick research, but I also knew it was a damn good shoe so I bought it for $4.99. Fast-forward a week later I sold them for $99.99. This my barg babes gives a little insight into my racing mind of when it comes to a bargain for Shop Bargainsita. I literally eat, sleep and dream bargains.

Ok so back to the actually story at hand.

So obviously tomorrow couldn’t come soon enough, because I was so ready to meet up and get this bargain into my hands. So fast-forward and I’m patiently waiting to meet the young lady for the exchange. As soon as we made the exchange, I knew I had just landed a gem, but I just needed to get home and confirm authentcity. I don’t want to say that this is the gem of all gems, because I know this is just one of many gems I will find because I’m only almost two years in and I know God has many more bargains in store for me and I claim it in the name of Jesus, but WOW what a gem.

Alright, almost reveal time let’s give a little background on my little gem.

History: Takashi Murakami x Louis Vuitton began an iconic collaboration collection in the early 2000s. Takashi, an iconic artist is known for his bright and bold colorful aesthetics. He created a vibrant collection with an array of handbags, wallets, etc and the designs received a tremendous amount of attention and were immensely successful.

Ok ok, here she issss!! Look how beautifulllll, eeeekk, I love a fab vintage find!!! Although, I wanted to purchase and sell on Shop Bargainista, this beauty was just way too good to let go. This is one of the few bargains that I’m keeping for myself, because obviously isn’t she beautiful?! ...

I can’t wait to curate a look and take her out on the town.

I feel like I have to end with one last story. Something I want to put in the atmosphere and hope it happens for me one day. I was shopping in Goodwill one day and I met this random lady and we started talking. I gave her my card and we were just talking about different things we’ve found over the years that we can’t believe we found at goodwill. Now she, she takes the cake sweetie. I lost sleep over her bargain, that’s when I said to myself, Kristin, you really live for a bargain honey.

So anyway. She told me she found a Hermes' Birkin bag (similar to the one below) and I’m looking at her like an authentic one girlll and she says yes honey, I had it authenticated. I’m like OMG. She pulls up the pictures and I nearly pass out, get the GURNEY SOMEONE. I remember this day like it was my bargain, I called one of my best friends from college Quinn that graduated my fashion merchandising program with me before I even left the parking lot to tell her. No one gets more excited over a boujee bargain than her and I. So I’m putting it in the atmosphere that I will one day find a Birkin bag as this shopper did.

Moral of the story is you never know what you’ll find and where you’ll find it. I search high and low, day and night, relentlessly exploring for the ultimate bargain. This is my third LV find, but I can’t even begin to tell you how many unique designer, vintage and just over all unique items I’ve found over the years. I’ve been shopping for bargains with my mom for as long as I can remember. She is the reason why Shop Bargainista exist. How I wish I could phone heaven and tell her about this one <3, but I know she’s my angel and watching over me.

Well, I hope you’ve enjoyed this bargain blog as much as I have, although not for sale and probably won’t ever be, just know that I am always on the hunt for the ultimate bargain for you bargain babes. The best thing about Shop Bargainista, you never know what you’ll find, because we never know what we will find for you and you don't even have to physically shop for it because we do the leg work for the bargain for you, you just have to add it to your cart!! Doesn't get any better than that!

Until next time Barg Babes,
