Happy 3rd Birthday to Shop Bargainista!! I can’t believe I’ve made it 3 WHOLE YEARS, but time flies when you’re working on your purpose. In no way, shape or form am I where I want to be, but I am here and having the opportunity to fulfil my dreams and work on my God given purpose every day is a blessing I could never put into words. God has been so good to me and there isn’t a day that goes by that I am not constantly thanking him for where I am today.
Shop Bargainista’s Birthday is always a bitter sweet day. As I celebrate Shop Bargainista, I also remember that on this day four years ago, I lost the reason that Shop Bargainista is even in existence, my mom. I built and manifested my small business for a year after she went to heaven and on the one-year anniversary of her passing, Shop Bargainista opened for business and it is all in honor of her. Until you’ve lost a parent, which unfortunately, I have lost both of mine, you will never know how broken your heart can be. It’s an indescribable pain that I wish upon no one. In my brokenness, I built. The woman of God my Mom was pushed me to cry and keep going, pray and keep going, hold my head up and keep going although it was my darkest hour, I built my little empire and kept God front and center.
I can say this, without God I would have lost my mind. God has brought me through some unbearable times, screams, cries and heart aches that I will never be able to put into words. I am still here and standing because of him and him only. To God be the glory. If you do not have our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in your life, I encourage you to do so.
As I meditate over the last several years, all I can do is thank and honor God. It is important to me that in every area of my life and in everything I do I seek and acknowledge him because he is an awesome God!!
Bringing Shop Bargainista into fruition has been one of my greatest joys. I honored my Mom by opening my small business because it is something we always said we would do together and in my eyes, there was no better way to honor her. My mom was THE greatest of all time when it came to bargains! She could wear a two-dollar outfit or a two thousand dollar outfit and no matter which one it was, she looked like a million dollars regardless. I can’t even imagine how she would react to some of the bargains I have found since she has been in heaven. There are countless times that I just want to pick up the phone and call her, yes, four years later. Every time I find an incredible bargain, all I want to do is call her, but I know she is looking down from heaven and watching over me.
In honor of her and Shop Bargainista’s 3rd year in business, I thought it would be cool to talk about my top three bargains that I have found since I have been in business. I’m so excited to share with you! Let’s get started barg babes and 3,2,1.
Let’s start with the fact that it was 100% difficult to narrow this down to my top three bargains because over the last few years, I have found some insane bargains. Let me be 100% honest, if there is a bargain that is to to good, I do keep it. Yea, I know I know, but I don’t keep everything you know I still upload lots of bargains for y’all. Some things are just to good, vintage and one of a kind to let go of.
Number 3 - Salvatore Ferragamo Loafers:
These Salvatore Ferragamo loafers were actually one of my very first phenomenal finds while I was out buying for Shop Bargainista. Best believe if they were my size, I would have kept them. These beauties sold right away, but from the picture, I’m sure it is quite obvious why!! As you can see, brand new with box, one man’s donation is a barg babes’ treasure. I mean these loafers are oh so chic! Talk about the ultimate bargain. I was happy I could cop these for a Shop Bargianista barg babe!. I get so excited when I am buying for Shop Barg, I love finding a deal for my barg babes. It is truly my passion and buying is one of my favorite parts of Shop Bargainista.
Number 2 - Vintage Chanel Logo Tote:
Let’s talk handbags. When I stumbled upon this beauty as I was browsing the racks, I was like no, no, no, can’t be. Who would want to get rid of this vintage Chanel bag. Well, someone did. At this time, I’d like to thank whoever did, and yes, I 100% kept this bargain. Chocolate brown and butter leather, it doesn’t get any better than this beauty. I was on cloud 9 about this bag. I haven’t carried her yet, but she is 100% awaiting to hit the streets.
Number 1 - Vintage Hermes Dress:
Last and certainly not least. I paid $1.00, yes $1.00 for this vintage Hermes’ dress. I literally dieeee. I am still basking in this deal. I wore her to a Derby brunch and had a custom fascinator made to match.
This is only three bargins. The bargains that I have found over the last four years, I can’t even put into one post because there has been so many unique ones.
